Click comment to go to storyYou wiped out the left side of a 2002 Hyundai van and a neighbor’s car, and you broadsided mine and pushed it into my son’s 2001 Explorer. You then wiped out two more cars down the street. We know the make and color of your car because you left car parts among the debris.

I am a 63-year-old disabled woman who only had liability insurance. Now I am faced with the task of telling seven grandchildren that there will be no Christmas presents from Grandma Red. I don’t know how I’m going to do this. I was finally able to purchase my first really nice car last November and I don’t know how I’m going to pay for this.

The police said that you must have been hurt. Therefore, I am asking the public if they saw or heard anything that morning to please call the Moline Police Department regarding case #18040. Any doctors or hospitals that treated you and any body shops repairing your car or any family members with a conscious, please do the same.

May you have a Merry Christmas. God is great. May He forgive you.

BEST IN LUXURY VEHICLES

Mercedes-Benz claims it has 53% of the premium vehicle market (over two million baht price bracket). And when you have that much, you are the market which is why DaimlerChrysler (Thailand) CEO Karl-Heinz Heckhauser gets the nod.

With sales of more than 3,700 units, the three-pointed star marque enjoys a comfortable 1,700-unit lead over its nearest rival in the segment despite a 16% drop this year.

Heckhauser is a typical Horatio Alger story where he started from a blue-collar production line worker at the Stuttgart factory and climbed up the corporate ladder. With a 40-year career under his belt and a vision for successful market trends, Heckhauser is the embodiment of Mercedes-Benz in Thailand.

Thailand cracks the one-million barrier

The country's automotive industry reached a milestone on November 23 when the one-millionth vehicle rolled off the production line. Of significance is that Thailand became only the 15th country in the world to achieve one-million units annual assembly, which by year's end is expected to reach 1.15 million units and overtake Italy now in the 14th spot. The 1.15 million units is made of about 700,000 units sold in the domestic market and 450,000 units exported overseas. Export rankings see Thailand elevated to seventh position amongst global automotive powerhouses.

Buying Car Automobile Parts

The Internet has changed the way people buy things. It doesn’t matter if that purchase is a small ticket item or a larger ticket item like car parts. In fact, major online auction companies like eBay.com have an entire section devoted strictly to cars and car parts.

For the professional

If you are a professional searching for car parts, running an online search for “discount auto parts” or “wholesale auto parts” will yield a treasure trove of sites that offer huge discounts, free shipping, and great warranties for a minimum purchase. You can take advantage of these online stores which buy in bulk from the manufacturer and resell them at close-to-wholesale prices to you. And, if you are a reseller or have a business license, you may even qualify for tax minimized purchases as well! Often these are great places to purchase parts if you run a shop that has a tight schedule since overnight delivery is available in many areas, allowing you to get that one part quickly to get a customer’s car on the road again.

For the hobbyist

However, if you are not a professional auto parts purchaser, you are still able to buy car parts at a discount. If you are a car enthusiast or a backyard mechanic, you may find that you meet the minimum purchase requirements from some of the discount auto parts sites mentioned above, simply from the amount of work you do, since the minimum purchase requirements are surprisingly low. If you can get a good deal from these online shops, go ahead and order!

If you don’t think you qualify initially, there is a chance that you may still be able to qualify. Here’s how: find one or two fellow car enthusiasts, either people you trust, or people you can find from a taking out a small classified ad in a newspaper. When you’ve found these people, you can pool your purchases in order to qualify for the minimum discount.

And don’t forget about eBay.com and other auto auction sites where you can bid on great car parts and get them at really low prices!

Whether you are a professional car parts buyer or a hobbyist looking to fix up that project car, you can find inexpensive parts online.

Thousands of people die each year due to car accidents that are caused by varying factors, including the harsh weather, mechanical problems and road hazards like other vehicles, motorcycles, animals that emerged from the backwoods and pedestrians. You yourself are a factor that largely contributes to accidents. How you drive and how you take care of your car and keep it safe can save or ruin a person’s life.

Aggressive driving is a big NO. Remember that as you drive you are responsible not only for your safety but for others as well, including those people riding in your car with you, other drivers and their passengers, pedestrians crossing the street and other road users. Although you are not completely in control of the situation, the slightest thing you do to prevent an accident can make a big difference. It can prevent loss of life, or even just physical damages.

Should you happen to meet an aggressive driver on the road, make sure to follow these tips derived from statefarm.com to avoid accidents:

Don't block the passing lane.
Avoid blocking the right-hand turn lane.
Don't take more than one parking space.
Don't tailgate.
Don't stop in the road to talk with a pedestrian or other drivers.
If you travel slowly, pull over to allow traffic to pass you.
Avoid eye contact with an aggressive driver.
Keep your eyes on the road.
Keep away from erratic drivers.
Don't challenge other drivers by speeding up to hold your own in your travel lane.
Ignore gestures; do not return them.

Furthermore, don’t forget to get your car serviced every now and then so you can detect if there are problems that need to be solved immediately. Parts that need to be replaced must be replaced as soon as possible to prevent the worst consequences. I get my replacement Ford Explorer parts from Ford Parts Online. They have excellent line of Ford Explorer parts such as Ford Explorer bumper, Ford Explorer alternator and Ford Explorer carpet. You can check out their site for details on thousands of top quality auto parts.
