KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 24 (Bernama) -- Sime Darby Auto Italia Sdn Bhd's RM4.5 million 3S (sales, service and spares) centre at Glenmarie, Shah Alam, has been acknowledged as one of the best Alfa Romeo sales and support facilities in South East Asia by Fiat Auto, the parent company of Alfa Romeo.

Regional manager (Aftersales -Importers), Fiat Auto, Piero Gasco said that key attributes such as space, layout, comfort, equipment and tools, cleanliness, safety and the more than 1,500-line item parts inventory meant that Alfa owners in Malaysia had access to world-class after sales service and support.

"Alfa owners are incredibly passionate about their cars and have remained loyal to the marque over the years. They should have the assurance that the new distributor can take care of them and I am very pleased with what I have seen so far in terms of Auto Italia's investments and commitment," he said after visiting the Glenmarie facility for the first time since its opening in August.

Gasco commended Auto Italia for its customer-oriented approach and willingness to be competitive in pricing its products and services, which are key to rebuilding the Alfa Romeo brand in Malaysia, said a statement today.

"As the manufacturer, we are always open to suggestions by Auto Italia on how to reach out to the many Alfa owners in Malaysia," he said.

"In fact, we are working on a pleasant surprise for Alfa lovers, in particular, those who own models that are no longer in production. We will be announcing the details in the near future," he said.

Auto Italia managing director, Radzi Zainol said the close relationship it enjoyed with Fiat Auto would ensure a bright future for Alfa Romeo in Malaysia.

He said Sime Darby Auto Italia was working hand in hand with its principals in Italy to offer not only a wide range of world-class products but also professional, transparent and attractively priced after-sales support services.

"We will grow Alfa Romeo into a premium luxury brand in Malaysia," he said.
