The Bologna Motor Show

An exclusive, elegant stand hosting the brand’s latest offering: the Alfa Brera. There is also a 4x4 circuit for trying out the advanced Q4 technology. We take a look at what’s in store at the Motor Show, open to the public until 11 December.

Three decades and more than thirty million visitors. The Bologna Motor Show, the international car and motorcycle fair – running from 3 to 11 December at ‘BolognaFiere’ – this year celebrates its anniversary and promises to be better than ever. Alfa Romeo will be there to celebrate this extraordinary event, at a stand with tremendous visual impact.
Featuring a series of linear forms, where the overlap of surfaces and volumes creates a dynamic effect, the centre of the display area plays host to the Alfa Café, with elegant "lounge" areas, where visitors can experience the world of Alfa Romeo to the full, surrounded by the cars: the Alfa Brera, Alfa 159 and other current production models (the Alfa GT, Crosswagon Q4, the Alfa 166 flagship and the compact Alfa 147), all fitted with Euro 4 compliant engines.
A comprehensive, multi-faceted range that best expresses Alfa Romeo’s interpretation of the union between ‘sportiness and elegance’, the result of the most sophisticated technology and a truly unique heritage.
Obviously, all eyes will be on the Alfa Brera, the fascinating car making its public debut, which transforms the traditional notion of a coupé into something much more exciting, that of ‘absolute sportiness’. Next to it is the Alfa 159, the prestigious car that on one hand pays tribute to the tremendous history of Alfa Romeo saloons, and on the other represents the start of a new generation of cars by the Italian manufacturer.
The Alfa Brera and Alfa 159, then, are the undisputed stars of the stand, as demonstrated by the two models on display on raised platforms at the centre of an inclined ramp. In addition, a series of LED screens on the red wall of the stand gives visitors a look at the world of the Alfa Brera – a world of style, sportiness and technology.
And don’t miss the interactive presentation of the latest Alfa gems: the Brera and the 159.
The cars are presented through images flashing up on sheets of glass suspended in the void, like a science-fiction film, giving visitors a glimpse of the most particular features of the models, by means of a fascinating play of light and images fully in keeping with the innovative spirit of Alfa Romeo.
If the Alfa stand inside the Motor Show stands out for its style and innovative solutions, then the two outdoor areas reserved for test drives are all designed for sportiness and performance, where the public can admire first-hand the dynamic qualities of the Alfa Brera and the Q4 technology of the Alfa Crosswagon. For the test drives for this model, Alfa has prepared a special off-road circuit where the four-wheel drive model can show off all its 4x4 qualities.
